The first thing you'll want to know is that Salagdoong Beach is a privately owned beach. This area of Siquijor is managed by the Salagdoong Beach Resort (Hotel Agripino). Therefore, you'll need to pay a fee to enjoy this Siquijor beach.
However, this is well worth it once you discover just how great this spot on the eastern tip of Siquijor is!

Salagdoong Beach Location
As mentioned, Salagdoong Beach is located on the eastern tip of Siquijor Island in the Philippines. You'll find it near the town of Maria. There's a short stretch of forest road named Salagdoong Forest, which leads to the beach.
The forest stretch is accessible via the Siquijor Circumferential Road spanning the island.

How to Get to Salagdoong Beach
Before we get into all of the epic cliff jumps at Salagdoong Beach, let's break down the logistics for how to get here.
You'll have two main options: a guided tour or getting here independently.
Option 1: Best Siquijor Island Tour (Including Salagdoong Beach)
If you're short on time, or if you'd just like to see the best Siquijor highlights, including a visit to Cambugahay Falls and the incredible Salagdoong Beach, then it might be a good idea to book a tour.
Note you can try your luck finding a guide in San Juan. Or, if you're still in Dumaguete then the one below is easily the best you'll find. It's got hundreds of bookings and a 4.9/5 star rating on Siquijor.

This trip is really affordable and can actually work out cheaper than doing things independently if you're in Dumaguete.
Option 2: Independent Option
For those of you already on Siquijor and planning to stay a few days exploring the island and checking out Salagdoong Beach then by far, the best way to do so is to rent your own motorbike.
This way, you'll also get to check out some of the other highlights like Lagaan Falls and Cambugahay Falls!
You can get one in the main tourist hub of San Juan for 250-350 pesos per day. The ride from San Juan to the beach usually takes 45 minutes on Circumferential road. The last stretch is through the forest, which is very scenic and the canopy is a nice break from the sun!
If you're not too keen on renting a bike, you can always get a tricyle taxi to Salagdoong Beach. But, make sure to barter for a fair price.

What to Expect at Salagdoong Beach Siquijor
As soon as you arrive, you'll find a large clearing with loads of space to leave your park. You'll see a small hut where you can sign your name and country, as well as pay the fees for your bike and the entrance ticket.
From here, walk down to the white-sand shores of Salagdoong Beach where the adventure really begins!
The Epic Cliff Jump
The highlight for me on my visit to Salagdoong Beach Siquijor are the two awesome concrete dive boards. You'll find these on the small little headland protruding from the bay.
There are two boards, one at around 5 metres or 16 feet, and the taller one at around 10 metres, or 32 feet.
The water below is adequately deep. But, in saying that, I'd still probably do my best to time the high-tide just in case! It's also good practice to do depth checks anywhere you'll be doing cliff jumping!
The water below is a beautiful shade of turquoise. You'll see large schools of fish swimming around and healthy coral reef blanketing the seafloor.
Salagdoong Beach Slippery Slide
The other highlight is of course, that awesome blue slippery slide. Unfortunately, this wasn't running when I visited but otherwise I would have loved to give it a go!
The White Sand SHores
After all that cliff jumping, the best thing to do on Salagdoong Beach is just to unwind on its shores. You can also rent snorkeling gear, floats and SUPs from the resort directly.

The main tourist hub on Siquijor is known as San Juan (Siqujor Town). However, there are also several guest houses, hostels, and resorts scattered around the island as well. Below I'll give you the three best options for where to stay in Siquijor to plan your trip.
