If you're short on time, or if you'd just like to see the best Siquijor highlights, including a visit to Cambugahay Falls and the epic Salagdoong Beach, then it might be a good idea to book a tour.

Option 2: Independent Option

For those of you already on Siquijor and planning to stay a few days exploring the island, then by far, the best way to do so is to rent your own motorbike.

You can get one in the main tourist hub of San Juan for 250-350 pesos per day. The ride from San Juan to Cambugahay Falls usually takes 25-30 minutes on the Circumferential road.

The road is in good condition and you can leave your motorbike just near the steps down to the waterfall (signed). It only takes about 5 minutes to reach the main waterfall lagoon from the entrance.

If you're not too keen on renting a bike, you can always get a tricyle taxi to Cambugahay Falls. But, make sure to barter for a fair price.

About Cambugahay Falls Siquijor (Description)

Entrance Fee: 10 PHP

Cambugahay Falls is a series of 3-tiered waterfalls flowing into magical blue pools with crystal clear waters. Once you arrive, you need to pay the 10 PHP entrance fee. Then, you're free to explore and enjoy this beautiful place.

The cascading flow originates from natural springs in the jungle interior. This crisp, clean water flows for roughly 3 kilometers before flowing into the ocean at Lazi Bay.

The main attraction at Cambugahay Falls is the bottom tier, where there is a wide, 2-metre tall waterfall plunging into a deep, blue pool (lagoon) . There's a bamboo raft here, as well as a swing that locals have made up for your enjoyment.

It'll cost you 50 PHP to use each, but you can have unlimited turns– definitely worth it in my opinion!

When visiting, make sure to walk upstream to check out the other tiers, as well as the more secluded cold springs and lagoons.

Tip: Cambugahay Falls is Siquijor's most popular attraction. Definitely arrive early to beat the crowds! We got here just after sunrise and had the place to ourselves for over an hour!
